Previously unknown group of Dr. Zheng Men from china independently from the more proclaimed scientists and hair transplantation clinics from US and Europe conducted human hair cloning experiments.
They used a technique of combining and transplanting various cell types of the hair follicle from humans to induce new hair growth. This, in principle, it is identical to the methods of hair cloning pursued by Ken Washenik and his colleagues from the Bosley Medical.
In experiments conducted by the Chinese scientists all transplantations were done in mice model and not in humans, although human hair follicle cells were used.
In their experiments cultured hair papilla cells, dermal sheath cells and fibroblast of human scalp were mixed with the cells of hair follicle epithelium in different ratio, and then implanted into nude mice. The regeneration of hair follicle was observed. The hair follicle-like structure was formed in cluster where the cultured hair follicle epithelium cells were mixed with hair papilla cells. But no hair follicles were formed where the hair follicle epithelium was implanted with dermal sheath cells or fibroblasts.

These experiments conclusively show that importance of both early passages cultured hair papilla cells and hair follicle epithelium in the successful regeneration of the hair follicles.
While these experiments were conducted in mice, it is not excluded that human trials are taking place right now.

Thank you very much for your interest in our researches on hair follicle regeneration. I will ask Dr. Lv to send you the picture you want.We are planing to do some human trials. Our further plans on the regeneration of the human hair follicles will start after we solve some key problems. Thank you, Regards, Zheng min |
